If you’re new to Columbus there is one area you must visit and experience and that area is The Arena District. This location shows a wide variety of events and wonderful places to live or rent. From sporting events to live entertainment there is always something happening. No matter what your taste you have to experience this part of Columbus.
The events in The Arena District include Blue Jackets games, live music concerts, and showings of all the hit movies. Aside from Blue Jackets games The Arena District hosts many events such as Pro Wrestling, Arena Football, Soccer, and even Baseball. The Columbus Clippers are a wonderful team to go and watch if you just want to get away from home and have a peaceful family event. The Arena District will schedule a band or singer every month because the crowd and area is so welcoming. From Bon Jovi to the Counting Crows there are so many different types of music to come and watch. The Arena District is perfect to come see opening movies it’s so comfortable and welcoming. Especially with the huge Arena Grand movie theatre that shows movies on a balcony and stadium style seating.
If you want to visit the Arena District there should be one thing on your mind, food. The restaurants include Max & Erma’s, Boston’s, and Ted’s Montana Grill. It also holds such originals as Frog Bear & Wild Boar Bar, Columbus premier entertainment bar. These are great places for a family to go and sit down and eat or if you just want to have a night of fun. The downside is that there are no really great breakfast places around. Starbucks offers coffee but that is about it.
Now if you are coming from out-of-state you might ask yourself where you will be staying. There are two main hotels you can stay at, the Crown Plaza and Hyatt Regency. The Crown Plaza is located downtown perfect to get anywhere you may want to go. The Hyatt Regency is also located downtown and is directly across from the Greater Columbus Convention Center. If you do not want to stay at either of these hotels there are also lofts available. Each loft is beautiful and has its own entity in itself. They are also conveniently located for the quickest access to the Columbus area.
The Arena District is truly the heart of Columbus, having fun is its purpose and that’s what a person should experience when visiting. No matter what your taste there is a little something for you and your friends. The Arena district welcomes you and may you have a great time.
